AIVideoGist is an AI-powered audio/video summarization service. Paste a YouTube link or upload a file, and we generate a structured summary including TL;DR, chapter timeline, key takeaways, mind map, and full transcript — typically in under 2 minutes.

Deepgram nova-2 supports 30+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, and more. The summary output is generated in English by default.

We accept YouTube URLs, and direct file uploads in common audio/video formats: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC (up to 500 MB per file).

Most videos are ready in 1–3 minutes. Longer videos (60+ minutes) may take up to 5 minutes. Processing time depends on audio length and current queue.

We support regular YouTube videos and standard uploads. Live streams and playlists are not currently supported. We recommend downloading and uploading individual files for those use cases.

1 credit equals 1 minute of audio/video processed. A 30-minute podcast costs 30 credits. Credits are deducted based on actual audio duration, not file size.

Monthly subscription credits reset on each billing renewal. Purchased credit pack credits never expire and accumulate with unused subscription credits.

Credits are pre-deducted when you submit a job. If you don't have enough credits, the job will not start. If processing fails, credits are fully refunded automatically.

Your remaining subscription credits are kept until the end of the billing period. After that, you'll receive the Free plan's 20 monthly credits. Purchased credit packs are always retained.

Yes. Cancel anytime from your billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period with no partial refunds.

We accept all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, processed securely by Creem.

Every processed video generates: (1) TL;DR — a 2–4 sentence overview, (2) Chapter Timeline — timestamped sections with descriptions, (3) Key Takeaways — 5–10 bullet points, (4) Mind Map — a visual concept hierarchy (Mermaid diagram), (5) Full Transcript — speaker-diarized text.

Free plan: plain text (.txt). Hobby & Pro: all of the above plus SRT subtitles, VTT subtitles, and Markdown (.md) with full formatted summary.

Yes. Hobby and Pro plans can export SRT and VTT subtitle files suitable for YouTube, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other video editors.

Yes. YouTube videos you process are published at aivideogist.com/summary/{videoId} with the TL;DR and timeline visible to anyone. If you need to unpublish, contact us for DMCA/privacy removal.

No. Private videos, age-restricted videos, and geo-blocked content cannot be downloaded by our system. Please upload the file directly in those cases.

Audio/video files are deleted immediately after transcription (typically within 5 minutes of processing completion). Summaries and transcripts are retained in your account history.

Your summaries are private by default. Only YouTube videos are optionally published on public summary pages for SEO purposes. Uploaded files are never made public.

No. Your audio, transcripts, and summaries are not used to train any AI models. We use third-party APIs (Deepgram, DeepSeek) which have their own data retention policies.

Send a deletion request to support@aivideogist.com. We will delete all your personal data, summaries, and account information within 30 days.

Speech-to-text is powered by Deepgram nova-2 for high accuracy across languages. Summarization uses DeepSeek for cost-efficient, high-quality structured output.

The API runs on Cloudflare Workers (global edge). Temporary audio files are stored in Cloudflare R2. Transcription uses Deepgram's cloud API. Summaries are stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite).
